Wills and Probate
Wills
When making a will it is vital to be fully advised in relation to all aspects of succession law and taxation to ensure, insofar as is possible, that the wishes of the client are enforceable and the potential tax liabilities of the beneficiaries are minimised or avoided entirely.
In order to achieve this we consider many issues including the personal circumstances of the client, the potential value and type of assets involved, the interests of minors and spouses and the creation of trusts.

Probate
In dealing with an estate we advise clients in relation to both testate (where a will was made) and intestate (where no will was made) situations.
We guide clients’ through the process of ascertaining the deceased assets, obtaining the grant of probate and distribution of the estate to the beneficiaries in accordance with the law and in the most tax efficient manner possible.
Where disputes arise we have acting for both executors and those contesting the will.
Our areas of practice include the following:
- Wills including will trusts
- Estate planning
- Creation of Trusts
- Administration of estates
- Administrations ad litem
- Compulsory purchases (CPO’s)
- Enduring Powers of Attorney
- Contentious probate matters
