John Lynch & Company Solicitors provide a wide range of legal services nationwide, delivering quality, knowledge, experience and value. We work with our clients, to achieve the best results possible.

The practice was founded in 2006 in Newcastle West and was originally located on South Quay. Due to the expansion of the business we moved to our current, purpose built, state of the art, offices on Bridge Street in 2017. We aim at all times to provide a client focused, professional and dedicated service to all respected clients.

John Lynch, Solicitor, BCL, Dip Property Tax, Diploma Employment Law is principal of the practice. John is from West Limerick and qualified as a solicitor from the law Society of Ireland in 1999. He graduated from UCC with an honours Law Degree in 1995 and worked for almost 8 years gaining valuable experience before he set up his own practice in September 2006. The practice has grown rapidly and has clients throughout Ireland and beyond. John is an active member of his GAA Club, Gerald Griffins GAA. He is a club officer and takes a very active role at administration level within the club. He also is manager of their intermediate football team. He played Gaelic Football for Limerick at Intermediate level for a number of years and was honoured to captain his county at this level in 1997. He has won many honours in underage and adult competitions. He is is also actively engaged at Limerick GAA County Board Level and is a past Chairman of the Appeals Committee of Limerick County Board. He is a keen sports person and supporter of Limerick GAA and Munster Rugby. He is married with two children.

John has over 20 years experience as a practising solicitor and has built a considerable reputation and client base in that time. His experience extends to advising clients in medical and dental negligence matters, personal injuries law, commercial disputes and litigation, family law, sports law and arbitration and employment law. He regularly advises clients in reon road traffic accidents, work accidents, sports injury claims and public liability claims and applications to the Injuries Board arising therefrom. He has successfully acted for clients in cases brought before the District Court, Circuit Court and High Court.

Kevin Ferris

Solicitor

Kevin joined John Lynch & Company in 2021. He completed his law degree at Griffith College in Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2020. During his training, Kevin gained valuable experience working with McKeever Rowan, a law firm in Dublin. Originally from Kerry, Kevin has a strong passion for sports, particularly football. He plays football with his local Beaufort team, with whom he won an All-Ireland Junior Club title in 2019.

Kevin has considerable knowledge and experience in property and construction law matters and advises clients on all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions, including acquisition and disposal of commercial and development property, commercial finance, drafting and negotiating leases, residential property sales and purchases, re-mortgages, and bank guarantees.

Kevin’s experience also extends to advising clients in personal injury law, commercial disputes and litigation, and debt recovery. He advises clients on applications to the Injuries Board, road traffic accidents, work accidents, sports injury claims, and public liability claims. He also provides advice on medical negligence claims and fatal injury claims. He has successfully acted for clients in cases brought before the District Court, Circuit Court, and High Court.

Kevin has particular expertise and experience in all aspects of contentious wills and estates litigation, including claims of spouses and children, and advises personal representatives and beneficiaries. He also provides advice on wills, extraction of grants of probate and letters of administration, the distribution of the estate to the beneficiaries, enduring power of attorney, and ward of court applications.

Kevin attends the District Court regularly to deal with Family Law matters and has a wealth of experience in that area. He is also well versed in all areas of Employment Law and advises clients both form the employer and employee perspective.
